The Government of Canada’s immigration strategy is a system where people from all over the globe are invited to apply for entry via two main channels: the Express Entry System and the Occupation In-Demand channel.

So basically, how the Express Entry system works is: it allows the nomination of skilled and qualified workers to be made by the Provinces themselves.

The Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program (SPNP) or the Saskatchewan PNP Express Entry system allows the particular province, in this case, Saskatchewan, to nominate candidates with skills that are in high demand locally, thus benefiting the local community. The SINP benefits the local economy and its individuals who possess the required skill sets by helping them forego the more tedious processes of immigration by applying directly to the Canadian Government.

The Express Entry PNP system is designed for the workers who want to live in the Saskatchewan Province, who possess the necessary skill set and education from which that particular province might be benefited, and experience levels to contribute to the particular economy and, as time goes by, plan on becoming permanent residents of Canada.

So in order for your application to be considered for the Saskatchewan Express Entry nomination, the first step would be to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

In the latest Expression of Interest (EOI) draw for March, 138 invitations were issued by Saskatchewan for the Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand candidates.

Of the total 138 invitations, 70 of them were issued through the Express Entry sub-category and the remaining 68 invites were issued through the Occupation In-Demand sub-category.

If you are deemed eligible, you will receive a score based on factors such as your education, work experience, fluency in languages such as English and French and your connections with the province of Saskatchewan ( if any).

After this, a set number of candidates with the highest ranked profiles based on the above factors will be invited to apply for provincial nomination through a regular draw.

In the latest edition of the draws on March 6th, 2019, the candidate with the lowest rank through the SINP’s Express Entry sub-category has a score of 67. The issue of these draws was made less than two weeks after an Express Entry focused draw was held by the SINP on the 27th of February which issued 83 invitations.

As of 2019, the SINP has now issued a total of 515 invitations through its Express Entry sub-category.
