The decision for the restriction has been extended until September 30. Bill Blair, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness did this declaration on Friday on Twitter.

The government has extended the date of restriction on Travel for a month, i.e. until 30th September 2020 to stop the spread of COVID-19 in our communities as said by Blair on twitter.
The restriction covers those travelers who are coming from a foreign country other than the United States. Apart from this, this travel ban will surely affect the US border effect from a separate agreement and this will expire on 21 September.
As per the studies, it has been observed that the following people can currently travel to Canada:
- Those individuals who are a PR in Canada as well as a resident of Canada.
- The individuals who are work license holders presently are going for the non-optional as well as non-discretionary reasons.
- Those International students who are having a valid study permit or those who’re approved for a study permit on 18th March 2020 and these people are traveling for non-discretionary reasons.
- Those PRs who got approved for PR residency Canada before the travel restrictions that were announced before 18th March 2020 but those people do not reach home till now.
- Immediate family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
