The immigration department of Canada now accepting the online applications for a work permit and this comes under the AIP or Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program.
Applications are now started for the AIP work permit that is for Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) as on 17 August. All the paper applications will be accepted from September 1, 2020.
In fact, Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) offers the pathway for all the PR foreign nationals and along with that, they receive a job letter from any of the four Atlantic of Canada like New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and Scotia Permanent Immigration. Before applying to these, candidates should have a work permit to work legally in Canada.
So as to get this work license, candidates will require:
- A proper job offer by the employer of the Atlantic province.
- Should have a proper commitment to apply for PR in Canada that is within 90 days of the temporary work permit application.
- Should have a proper reference letter that is given by the province.
Once these requirements will fulfill, the Candidate gets eligible for a 1-year employer-specific work permit. In fact, they also get eligible for the foreign national partner Open Work Permit for Spouses and Common- Law Partner. Even the Atlantic employers don’t need to complete the labor market assessment in this program.
Once the candidate accepts the job offer, then both employer and candidate got connected from the designated settlement service provider organization for the needs assessment and development of the settlement plan. Even, it is expected from the employers that they will support the long term newcomers and through their help, they can permanently settle in their new homes.
Even foreign nationals have the chance to submit their application for employer-specific online. However, they can’t apply for the port of entry once they apply for a temporary work permit. But, the foreign nationals can apply for the Permanent work permit within 90 days.
Moreover, two programs are offered by AIP for the foreign workers as well as international student graduates. These programs are the Atlantic High- Skilled Program, the Atlantic Intermediate- Skilled Program, and the Atlantic International Graduate Program.
Skilled workers should have experience of a minimum of 1 year and that is related to the job offer too from the side of Atlantic Canadian Employers. However, there is no need to complete the same requirement by the International student graduate but, they should have a full-time job offer of a minimum of 1 year and they should be classified as a skill level of either 0, A, B, or C.
All the candidates should have a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Language in almost all areas for both the French and English. Apart from it, ensure that the test result is not more than 2 years old. Canada will acknowledge the copies of test results for this program.
The AIP is till 31st December 2021. In fact, Canada made a pilot in the year 2017 and their motto was to admit more than 7,000 immigrants along with their families over this pilot term.
Not only has this, but even AIP also got successful in attracting the immigrants in its region and Minister Marco Mendicino said he is thinking to create a letter for PR immigration program.
